After graduating from USC with a bachelor’s degree in 2003, Andrea Wilson decided to follow her passion for motorsports. Without any formal training, Andrea picked up a camera and jumped right into the fast lane, hitting the 2004 AMA Superbike circuit as a freelance photographer, learning the ropes of race photography as she went.
Andrea’s knack for capturing not only the on-track action, but also the personality under the helmet, quickly began to shine, and her photography began to gain recognition from leading enthusiast publications such as Motorcyclist, Cycle World, Cycle News and Sport Rider magazines.
Since 2004, Andrea’s skill behind the lens has taken her around the world, to places such as Spain, Italy and Portugal. Her breadth of talent took her beyond race coverage to shooting feature stories, brochures, products and portraits with a clientele including major OEMs and dozens of print publications worldwide.Nine seasons since her self-start in race photography, Wilson is now recognized as one of the top photographers in road racing. She is currently a full time photographer in the AMA Superbike paddock (now AMA Pro Road Racing) and her work regularly includes additional disciplines such as MotoGP, AMA Supercross and Motocross, AMA EnduroCross, AMA Pro Flat Track, and Personal Watercraft’s big race of the year, the World Finals.
